Depending on which fabric is used in the Berber carpet that is purchased, there are different care instructions. If the Berber is made out of olefin, it can be steam cleaned. Nylon Berber carpet is more attractive than olefin Berber. Nylon is able to resist traffic and it can handle a number of cleaning cycles.
When vacuuming Berber carpet it is important to not use a vacuum with a beater bar or any type of attachments that rotate. These can damage the Berber loops. Get a vacuum that has great suction power for Berber carpet.
